SECTION 13- Bombers
13.1 All drivers must be at least 18 years of age
13.2 ELIGIBLE MODELS
13.2.1 Cars must remain factory stock-these cars are intended to be CARS THAT WE RACE NOT RACECARS.
13.2.2 Any 4, 6 or 8 cylinder vehicles with a complete stock engine, body, frame and suspension for that year, make and model.
No modifications, alterations, or additions allowed. Engine must be stock for the make and model and in the original
motor mounts. Any oversize vehicles may be disallowed.
13.2.3 It is recommended that the battery remain under hood in stock location and be well secured. If the battery is removed
from stock location, it shall be secured in a sealed battery box and meet tech approval.
13.2.4 No bracing anywhere except inside the drivers compartment.
13.2.5 Complete bumper to bumper steel frame and uni-body must be retained. NO lightening permitted.
13.2.6 Cars must retain their stock appearance, no cutting, chopping, channeling or shortening permitted.
13.2.7 All stock steel unaltered floor pans, firewalls, trunk, and wheel wells must be retained.
13.2.8 All air bag sensors must be unplugged or air bags removed.
13.2.9 Exhaust must be leak free and extend behind the driver with a functional muffler in place.
13.3 MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED AND/OR REQUIRED
13.3.1 Seat: Reinforcement of stock seats will be subject to tech approval. Racing seats are highly recommended. Tech
approval required on installation.
13.3.2 Tires: Passenger DOT legal car tires mandatory, no DOT stamped racing tires, no all terrain tires, no mud tires, no
treated tires, no winter tires, no staggering of tires, all tires must be the same size. Oversized wheel studs on right front
13.3.3 Front Bumper: Front bumper area may be repaired and strengthened to protect the radiator.
13.3.4 Gas Tank: If stock gas tank is forward of rear axle, it may remain in place per tech approval
If stock gas tank is behind rear axle, it must be replaced with a commercially produced fuel cell.
13.3.5 Roll Bar: Not required but a single hoop rear roll bar (behind driver) is highly recommended. Roll bar(s) must be
welded or bolted in place, attached to car, 4 points maximum.
13.3.6 Windshield: May remain if in good condition or may be replaced by lexan or maximum 1” by 1” screen. All other
glass, headlights, taillights, outer trim and under hood insulation must be removed. One interior mirror is allowed.
13.3.7 Doors: All doors must be welded, bolted or chained shut. A driver’s door plate is optional with steel flat plate (grader
blade) extending past the front and rear door seams in the middle of the door skin. All plates must be installed flat.
13.3.8 Car numbers must be at least 18 inches tall and in contrasting color on the driver and front passenger doors and a car
number on the roof. No duplicate numbers allowed.
13.4 PERSONAL PROTECTION
13.4.1 Approved helmet, Snell 2000 or M-2000 minimum requirement, must be tech approved. Snell or SA 2010 is Highly
13.4.2 Use of stock seat belts (3 point minimum) must be tech approved. 5 point racing seat belts are highly recommended.
13.4.3 Long sleeve fire retardant jacket required or full length Nomex racing suit highly recommended. Long pants and
full leather shoe or boot required. No nylon allowed PERIOD. Approved gloves and neck brace highly
13.4.4 Fully charged fire extinguisher with gauge must be securely mounted within easy reach of driver required.
