Double Mains Loom Large for NASCAR Mod Titleadmin
It’s main event mayhem this Saturday, July 24, as Meridian Speedway hosts the Horizon Credit Union Twin 25’s. The Bud Light NASCAR Modifieds, Mulder Engineered Junior Late Models, Project Filter Pro-4s, Boise Bath and Kitchen Company Mini Stocks, and Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers take two turns at the quarter-mile asphalt oval in search of their Trammel Construction Feature Flags.
Josh Fanopoulos and Kyle Latham have raced their way to the head of the Bud Light NASCAR Modified field. Separated by just 24 points, Saturday’s Horizon Credit Union Twin 25’s presents the perfect opportunity for Latham to catapult himself past Fanopoulos as the Bud Light NASCAR Modified season begins to wind down.
Project Filter Pro-4 drivers Matt Melby, Ray Bolinger, and Jordan Harris have a lot of catching up to do if they hope to track down division leader Ryan Bailey. With two main events on the schedule, is this the night Bailey loses his stranglehold on the division, or does Bailey extend his already sizeable lead?
After a Saturday night slugfest one week ago, the Boise Bath and Kitchen Company Mini Stocks return to action for the Horizon Credit Union Twin 25’s. With their season nearing its halfway mark, Travis Pavlacky and Don Trafford sit atop the Boise Bath and Kitchen Company Mini Stock heap, Pavlacky 63 markers ahead of Trafford, who in turn holds an 81 point advantage over third place Jason Sanders.
The Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers and Mulder Engineered Race Engines Junior Late Models round out a night full of feature racing.
General admission to Saturday night’s Horizon Credit Union Twin 25’s is just $13 for adults, $11 for seniors and military members, $7 for kids 7-11, and free for Kids 6 and under. Gates open at 4:45 p.m. with qualifying at 6 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m. For additional event info, log on to www.meridianspeedway.com and stay up to speed with all the latest from around the quarter-mile by texting ‘Speed2021’ to 84483.
