Eve of Destruction XII is Here!

Destruction reigns this Saturday, September 19, as Eve of Destruction XII rocks Meridian Speedway.  The World Famous KOA Trailer Races, The BEAST Jet Car Meltdown, and Hornets versus The Gauntlet headline the destruction, while the NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Late Model championship anchors the night’s racing action.  The Mulder Engineered Race Engines Junior Late Models, Coors Super Stocks, Teleperformance Street Stocks, Big Daddy’s Barbecue Hornets, and Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers round out Saturday’s full slate of short track action.

The NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Late Models take two shots at the quarter-mile asphalt oval to settle their season Saturday night.  Twin Falls, Idaho racer John Newhouse leads the standings entering Eve of Destruction XII by a slim 48 markers over Tyler Monroe.  Can Newhouse hang on to score his first Meridian Speedway championship, or will Monroe claw his way to the top of the Late Model heap?

Melissa Weaver leads the Coors Super Stock bunch into Eve of Destruction XII.  The perennial title contender holds a full 73 points in hand over second place runner and two-time main event winner Daytona Wurtz, a lead which she looks to build upon under the lights Saturday.

The Mulder Engineered Race Engines Junior Late Models compete for the second-to-last time in 2020 Saturday.  With three wins under his belt this season, Ashton Cristiani sits atop the division standings with Nevaeh Hull and Jody Moen in pursuit.

Four straight feature wins have catapulted Teleperformance Street Stock racer Josh Fanopoulos to the head of the most competitive division this year.  Taylor Occhipinti sits just 17 points back of Fanopoulos waiting to strike back this Saturday night.

The Big Daddy’s Barbecue Hornet and Firehouse Pub and Grill Bomber classifications battle for something extra Saturday: Bonus Points.  With a huge amount of bonus points up for grabs, Eve of Destruction XII may be the turning point for both of these divisions’ title races.
