Fireworks, Late Models, Sprint Cars Headline Fourth Festivities

Celebrate your Independence Day with Meridian Speedway this Saturday, July 4, as the quarter-mile asphalt oval throws America a birthday party 244 years in the making with the Stinker Stores Firecracker 50 races and fireworks.  The Speed Tour Sprint Cars and NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Late Models double-headline an action-packed lineup, along with the Mulder’s Engineered Junior Late Models, Domino’s Legends, Big Daddy’s BBQ Hornets Midnight Ride of Paul Revere and, of course, fireworks.

Speed Tour Sprint Car point leader Casey Tillman enters Saturday night’s action with the momentum of a hard-fought win at Magic Valley Speedway in the division’s latest main event.  With Tillman’s win the Kuna, Idaho upstart bolted ahead of open-wheel standout Bryan Warf.  But with an advantage of just two markers over Warf, Tillman will need another strong showing if he is to stay atop the winged sprint car heap.

After an electrifying NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Late Model opener, these pavement-pounders are back for more this Saturday.  With twin fifty lap features set for Saturday, watch for the on-track fireworks to come early and often as these full-bodied brawlers go door-to-door under the lights.

Drawing competitors from across the Northwest and further, the Domino’s Legends division has grown by leaps and bounds in 2020, and now these wild and wooly racers set their sights on Saturday’s twin 35 lap features.

The future speedway stars of the Mulder’s Engineered Junior Late Models have turned in non-stop action all season.  Entering their Stinker Stores Firecracker 50 feature, Ashton Cristiani stands atop the season standings by 29 markers over Jody Moen.

The Big Daddy’s Barbecue Hornets ride into a darkened Concrete Jungle for Saturday night’s Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.  Point leader Jeff Matuska enters the 2020 Midnight Ride of Paul Revere riding a streak of two-straight runner up finishes to second-place point man James Pahl with the lights out.

Saturday night’s Independence Day action climaxes with an infield fireworks extravaganza.
