Late Models Headline Aaron’s Sales and Lease Saturday Nightadmin
The NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Late Models get tuned up this Saturday, August 15, as they battle for the Jeff Russell Road to Recovery 85 on Aaron’s Sales and Lease Night in the Concrete Jungle. Joining these ground pounding stock cars are the Teleperformance Street Stocks, Mulder Engineered Race Engines Junior Late Models, Mini Stocks, High School Tuners, and Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers.
The NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Late Models run 85 laps under the lights Saturday to honor speedway standout Jeff Russell as he continues to recover from severe injuries suffered in a super modified crash at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Don’t miss a minute of the action from the fastest full-bodied competitors on the quarter-mile as they go door-to-door for the Powers Transport Feature Flag.
In one of the most competitive years in Teleperformance Street Stock history, just 43 markers separate the top six in the division points standings. After an inauspicious start to 2020 young Taylor Occhipinti has battled his way from worst all the way to first, and now holds a dozen points in hand over most recent race winner Troy Evans.
With his two main event wins Ashton Cristiani leads Naveah Hull and Jody Moen by 39 and 41 point respectively in the Mulder Engineered Race Engines Junior Late Model ranks. Will Cristiani continue his hot streak, or can one of the young ladies behind him catapult themselves into the point lead Saturday?
As Travis Pavlacky and his powerful pickup speed away from the rest of the Mini Stock division, the runner up spot is very much up for grabs. Don Trafford and Luke Wolverton have both showed consistent speed in 2020, and as such sit just nine points apart entering Aaron’s Sales and Lease Night.
The orange and black number 24 of Dylan Wardle has paced the High School Tuner field from the drop of the first green flag, and looks to score his fifth-straight division victory Saturday.
Rob Taylor leads a strong contingent of Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers into Aaron’s Sales and Lease Night this Saturday. Will Taylor maintain his point lead, or can Monica Heath, Kevin Matuska, or any of the other 23 competitors from this year challenge the veteran campaigner for the top spot?
General admission tickets to Aaron’s Sales and Lease night are just $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and military members, $7 for kids 7-11, and, as always, kids 6 and under get in free.
