Meridian Speedway Hosts Dairy Days Double Feature This Wednesday and Saturdayadmin
Meridian Speedway celebrates Dairy Days this Saturday, June 24, as the College of Western Idaho presents the Dairy Days Races and Carnival. Don’t miss your chance to help the College of Western Idaho Super Stocks, TEAM Mazda Mini Stocks, TATES Rents Hornets, Thunder Dogs, and Queen Bees welcome summer to the asphalt quarter-mile.
Defending College of Western Idaho Super Stock champion Melissa Arte is under siege. A grueling schedule and unprecedented parity across the division has allowed a strong pack to fill Arte’s mirrors through the first third of the 2017 season. Can the lady racer keep her adversaries at bay this Saturday?
Competition in the crowded TEAM Mazda Mini Stock ranks has been intense all year, especially between the front and rear wheel drive contingents. Point leader Jason Sanders has held the fast imports off so far, but Terrell Daffron has wheeled his way within striking distance of the top spot. Will Daffron’s charge continue on Dairy Days weekend?
Ten points separate TATES Rents Hornets front runners as they kick off the dog days of summer Saturday. Defending champion Josh Randolph looks to track down former division winner Tommy Harrod as they duel to the checkers under the lights. Will it be youth or experience in the Caleb’s Chop Shop Winner’s Circle Saturday?
The Thunder Dogs and Queen Bees round out Saturday night’s full slate of racing action.
If Saturday night’s action is too far off, look no further than the Dirt Track at Meridian Speedway, which hosts its first stand alone event this Wednesday, June 21. Five fast Outlaw Kart divisions join the Open Flat Karts as they take the green flag at 7 p.m.
General admission for each night of the Dairy Days action is just $11 for adults, $8.50 for seniors and military members, and $6.50 for kids 7-11. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 4 p.m. on Saturday. Skip the line at the ticket booth and purchase your advance tickets at meridianspeedway.com. We’ll see you this Wednesday and Saturday under the big yellow water tower at your NASCAR Home Track, Meridian Speedway.
