NAPA Big 5 Latemodels Set for Ladies Night Rumble

Meridian Speedway closes April action with a bang as the NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Latemodels headline Ladies Night at the quarter-mile oval. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds, College of Western Idaho Super Stocks, TEAM Mazda Subaru Mini Stocks, TATES Rents Hornets, Spectator Drags, and 2017’s first Penny Gold Rush for Kids round out Saturday’s full night of family entertainment.

The ground-pounding NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Latemodels have waited all winter to renew their battle in the concrete jungle. Watch for the sparks and fenders to fly as these high-octane competitors push their machines to the limit under the lights Saturday.

Josh Jackson kicked his 2017 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modified campaign off in style, wheeling his machine to victory in both season opening main events. Look for a strong field of fast racers to challenge Jackson’s supremacy this weekend.

The College of Western Idaho Super Stock division sees an early season rubber match between pre-season favorites Daniel Johnson and Melissa Arte. Who will race their way to the top spot in this third speedy meeting?

A huge field of TEAM Mazda Subaru Mini Stocks swarmed Meridian Speedway to open their 2017 campaign, and Jason Sanders drove past all of them on his way to the checkers. Who will battle their way through a fast field of competitors to take the division’s second victory Saturday night?

The TATES Rents Hornets opened their 2017 campaign with a hard-fought feature. Can Josh Randolph kick off his title defense with two main event victories?

Want to join in the on-track action? Saturday night features the Clarity Credit Union Penny Gold Rush for Kids, where kids scramble to collect the most pennies until the music stops.  Bigger kids can enjoy racing the old grocery getter in 2017’s first installment of Spectator Drags.

General admission is free for ladies of all ages Saturday, and just $11 for adults and $6.50 for kids 7-11. Gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying at 5 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m.  Logon to meridianspeedway.com to keep up with all the news from around the Concrete Jungle and text ‘meridianspeed’ to 84483 for exclusive updates.  We’ll see you this Saturday, April 29, under the big yellow water tower at your NASCAR Home Track, Meridian Speedway.
