NASCAR Modifieds Headline Ladies Night at Meridian Speedwayadmin
Ladies Night speeds into Meridian Speedway Saturday, May 14 with the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds, Domino’s Legends, College of Western Idaho Super Street Stocks, Kendall Ford of Meridian Mini Stocks, and the Teleperformance Claimer Stocks doing battle on the quarter-mile oval.
The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds attack the track twice Saturday as they kick off a string of four main events in three weeks. Will Saturday night see the season’s first repeat winner, or will the string of first-time NASCAR Division 1 winners continue?
The College of Western Idaho Super Street Stocks and the Domino’s Legends both sent ladies to victory lane in their season-opening races. Melissa Weaver-Arte picked up right where she left off in 2015, scoring her first CWI Super Street Stock main event trophy of the new year. Aubree Wartman raced her way through a talent stacked pack of Domino’s Legends competitors en route to her first appearance in the Caleb’s Chop Shop Winner’s Circle of 2016. Can these ladies keep up their winning ways in the month of May?
The Kendall Ford of Meridian Mini Stocks swarm the quarter-mile Saturday with two hard-fought races in their rearview mirror. Jason Sanders has shown the way to the top of the Pepsi-Cola scoreboard so far, but in a division where door-to-door racing is the norm, anything can happen.
The Teleperformance Claimer Stocks have provided some of the closest racing of the year. From the three-way battle for the lead on opening night to their slip sliding romp in the rain last Saturday, these diehards race hard every lap and look to do the same this weekend.
General admission to Saturday’s full night of racing action is free for ladies of all ages, $10.50 for adults, and $8.00 for seniors and members of the military. Gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying just after 5 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m. Don’t wait in line at the gate, log on to meridianspeedway.com to purchase your advance tickets and to catch up on all the latest news from around the concrete jungle. As always we’ll save you a seat under the big yellow water tower this Saturday night at Meridian Speedway.
