Steeped in tradition, the Roadster Show has been fortunate over the years to attract many of the nation’s most popular show cars, many of which have had direct ties to the motion picture, t.v. and entertainment world. Looking back in time, featured attractions have included the Batmobile, World’s Longest Limo, Daktari, Pizza Wagon, Brinks Express, Fonzie’s Bike, Happy Days Merc, Pool Table Car, Farrah Fawcett’s Corvette, Pinball Wizard, Magnum P.I. Ferrari, Harrah’s Tucker, ZZ Top Eliminator Coupe, Earnhardt & Petty Nascar rides, KITT Trans Am, Playboy Bunny Coach, Wayne Newton’s Clenet, Fast and Furious RX7, Back to the Future DeLorean, Cadzilla, James Dean Merc, Copper-bodied Rolls Royce, Frank Sinatra Ghia, Elvis Cadillac, Big Daddy Top Fueler, Don Prudhomme Funny Car and countless others.
2015 will be no different.
Highlighting this year’s western Idaho ISCA Show will be the highly anticipated appearance of the Surf Seeker, one of the wildest creations to hit for the floors of Expo Idaho. The handbuilt Microbus is hands down the closest thing to a real life cartoon character that you’ll ever see in person. Ron Berry from St. George, Utah, built the imaginative piece and will be on hand to provide insight into his amazing creation.
We first met Ron at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, Calif., and there’s no doubt about it, he is one talented builder. His vision is quite extraordinary. When you see the bus in person, we think you’ll agree with us that it is one of the most impressive show cars in recent memory.

From the hit t.v. show Bitchin’ Rides on the Velocity channel, Dave Kindig will be attending the Roadster Show with two of his latest builds. Two cars that were featured on his t.v. show are certain to dazzle all those who attend this year’s show. Better yet, Dave will be on hand throughout the weekend, which will give you an opportunity to meet the award winning builder from Salt Lake City. Dave is pictured being interviewed by Idaho’s News Channel 7 meteorologist Larry Gebert.
Thanks to Marvel Comics, kids will get an opportunity to meet and greet not one, but two Super Hero’s during the show weekend. The Amazing Spiderman direct from Marvel will appear throughout the day and evening on Saturday. Then Sunday, we are thrilled to welcome Iron Man, who will be on hand for a special autograph session. Be sure and bring your camera both days for a photo opportunity with your son or daughter.
Sanctioned by the International Show Car Association, the Roadster Show is a key Western Division point’s stop in the Summit Show Car Series. Many of the nearly 200 competitors will be gunning for a shot at the crown jewel Goldmark title, along with quite an assortment of awards and prizes.
The line-up of cars and trucks for this year’s show is just simply spectacular. Over $6 million dollars of automotive excellence will be assembled inside the three building Expo Idaho complex located at the corner of Glenwood & Chinden in Boise.
If you’ve not had the chance to attend the Roadster Show in recent years, you’re not gonna want to miss this year’s show. Plus it’s a great way to kick those winter blues.
