Races Go Green Friday at 7:30 for Dairy Days

Meridian Speedway kicks off summer with a bang this Friday, June 25, with the Idaho CDL Training Dairy Days Race.  After the Dairy Days concert in Storey Park, the Bud Light NASCAR Modifieds, Project Filter Pro-4s, Pauly’s Bar Room Street Stocks, Big Daddy’s Barbecue Hornets, and Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers battle it out in the first official race of summer.

Five drivers have scored a Bud Light NASCAR Modified main event win in 2021, but only Josh Fanopoulos has multiple victories to his name.  Fanopoulos’ four feature wins has him 32 markers ahead of single race winner Kyle Latham as the season approaches its halfway mark.  Can Latham cut into Fanopoulos’ lead this Friday night?

Three races into the Project Filter Pro-4 season, Ryan Bailey and Ray Bolinger stand atop the season standings.  But in their rearview mirror is defending division champion Jordan Harris, who stands just 66 points back despite missing the season-opening race.

Twenty-two points separate Taylor Occhipinti from Pauly’s Bar Room Street Stock point leader Josh Fanopoulos.  This narrow gap is made even more impressive considering Fanopoulos has visited the Caleb’s Chop Shop Winner’s Circle three times, while Occhipinti is yet to score a main event victory.

Six Big Daddy’s Barbecue Hornet main events are in the books.  Entering Friday night’s action, Jeff Matuska, Dale Bolinger, and Jerry Knaus are at the top of the heap, with 38 strong competitors in their rearview mirror.

Two Matuskas lead the Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers into the Idaho CDL Training Dairy Days Races.  Jeff, also a point leader in the Hornets, leads his father Kevin by a mere eleven points as the pair roll onto the track Friday.

The Idaho CDL Training Dairy Days Races get off to a late start Friday, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. and races going green at 7:30 p.m.  General admission is just $13 for adults, $11 for seniors and military members, $7 for kids 7-11, and free for kids 6 and under.  Skip the line at the ticket window and purchase advance tickets online at www.meridianspeedway.com.  SpeedCast.tv will carry live and on-demand race coverage.  We’ll see you under the big yellow water tower this Friday, June 25, for the Idaho CDL Training Diary Days Races at your NASCAR Home Track, Meridian Speedway.
