Revised Schedule Through August 22 Released

Revised Schedule Through August 22 Released

With COVID-19 interrupting short track racing across the West, Meridian Speedway has overhauled its existing schedule.  This unprecedented mid-season reworking serves to both pack more thrills and spills into the shortened season for race fans, and help our fellow short tracks as they scramble to build makeshift schedules of their own.

With crowd restrictions still expected to be in place throughout the month of June, Meridian Speedway’s local classes take center stage Saturday, June 13, Saturday, June 20, and Friday, June 26.

Saturday, July 4, the Stinker Stores Firecracker 50 lights the fuse on an incredible summer of racing as the Speed Tour Sprint Cars and NAPA Big 5 Late Models co-headline an Independence Day card you won’t soon forget.

Saturday night, July 11, the North West Tour Truck Series takes over the quarter-mile for Weedman Lawn Care night, featuring the Boat Races of Destruction.

Hoosier Tires has stepped up to sponsor the Hoosier 500 on July 18, featuring a $500 payday to the winning Pepsi Crate Car or ISRL Sprint Car driver.

The Speed Tour Modifieds and Pit Stop USA NASCAR Modifieds go toe-to-toe for the Builder’s First Source Modified Double Down presented by Icon Credit Union.  With bonus cash on the line for any driver to win both Modified main events, expect no punches to be pulled in either feature.

Eve of Destruction XII retains its traditional first-Saturday-in-August slot and will feature all the carnage you crave packed into one wild night.

The biggest event rescheduled so far in 2020 is the Bob FM Diamond Cup, presented by Neil Alan Fine Jewelry.  Stinker Stores Family Pass Night and the Naylor Classic shift to Friday, August 7, while the JP Classic Super Modified Reunion race headlines the Saturday, August 8 show.

Meridian Speedway remains committed to honoring the everyday heroes in our community, and as such will host Frontline Workers, Emergency Medical Service, Police, Fire, and Correctional Officers Night presented by Aaron’s Sales and Lease on Saturday, August 15.

The Big Daddy’s Barbecue Hornets contest the Hot August Race for Hunger presented by ATS Inland Northwest on Saturday, August 22.  The 125-lap marathon presented by Neil Alan Fine Jewelry will again benefit the Boise Rescue Mission.

Trophies for various events will be presented by Vapor Loft, Racing for Smiles of the Northwest, Trevor Cristiani Racing, YMC Heating and Cooling, Impact Motorz, Competition Carburetors, Hunziker 98x Racing, Powers Transport, and Neil Alan Fine Jewelry.
