Speed Tour Shootout, Boat Races Headline Championship Saturdayadmin
The action starts early this Saturday, October 17, as the Speed Tour Sprint Car Finale and Boat Races of Destruction invade Meridian Speedway. Alongside the Speed Tour Sprint Cars, the Pit Stop USA NASCAR Modifieds, Teleperformance Street Stocks, Coors Super Stocks, Big Daddy’s Barbecue Hornets, and Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers do battle as they look to settle their 2020 seasons.
The Speed Tour Sprint Car championship couldn’t be closer as Casey Tillman leads Bryan Warf by just one point entering Saturday night’s championship race. Consistently the two fastest cars throughout the 2020 campaign, all eyes will be on Tillman’s blue and white number 81 and Warf’s neon orange on white number 91 as they duel for the 2020 title.
The Pit Stop USA NASCAR Modified campaign comes to a close this Saturday as well. Point leader Brendon Fries will clinch the division championship with a main event start, but there’s plenty to race for further down the running, not to mention a host of season-long scores to settle.
The Coors Super Stocks conclude a hard-fought campaign this Saturday as well. Since the first race of the season, Melissa Weaver and Daytona Wurtz have battled door-to-door for the division title. Look for this trend to continue as these two hard-charging veterans speed to the final checkered flag of the year.
The final championship race Saturday is the Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers. Rob Taylor leads the pack into the finale as these build-in-a-day racers take their final spin of the year.
With just one race left after tonight on their 2020 schedule, the Teleperformance Street Stocks rumble to green behind Josh Fanopoulos and Taylor Occhipinti. Fanopoulos has exerted his dominance in the latter half of the year, but Occhipinti has managed to keep his machine in the running, but must score maximum points if he’s to stay within striking distance.
Anything can happen in the Big Daddy’s Barbecue Hornets, and with their mix of racing and novelty it usually does. Josh Parkkila has weathered the storm best thus far in 2020, but Morgan Trammel and a host of other Hornet competitors are looking to make their way to the top of the heap Saturday.
As an added bonus, don’t miss the final Boat Race of Destruction on the 2020 calendar!
