Speedway Season Starts Saturday with Test and Tune

Meridian Speedway roars to life Saturday, April 2 with the first of two open Test and Tune days. Be the first to feel the rumble of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds and smell the burning race fuel as familiar faces break in rides both old and new.

Early this year, in recognition of Meridian Speedway’s commitment to providing a first-class fan and racing experience, the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing extended an offer to make the quarter-mile a member of its Home Tracks program. Under NASCAR’s sanctioning, Meridian Speedway will feature four NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly racing divisions: the Kendall Ford of Meridian Mini Stocks, Pepsi Crate Cars, College of Western Idaho Super Street Stocks, and the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds.  Drivers in these classes will compete for the Meridian Speedway championship, as well as State and National championships with drivers from across the country.

Admission to Satuday’s Test and Tune is free. Cars hit the track at 10 a.m. and concessions will be available.  Welcome the 65th season of short track racing Saturday under the big yellow water tower at Meridian Speedway.
