Stroebel, Cristiani Lead Modified Double Down into Meridianadmin
The rumble of modifieds shakes Meridian Speedway this Saturday, July 25, as the Builder’s First Source Modified Double Down presented by ICON Credit Union invades the quarter-mile asphalt oval. The Speed Tour Modifieds and Pit Stop USA NASCAR Modifieds double-headline Saturday night’s festivities, while the Salt Lake City Midgets, Junior Stingers, and Firehouse Pub and Grill Bombers do battle for their own Impact Motorz Feature Flags.
The Speed Tour Modifieds roll into Saturday’s Builder’s First Source Modified Double Down presented by ICON Credit Union behind standings leaders Shelby Stroebel and Aubree Cristiani. But momentum is on the side of third-place point runner Dylan Caldwell, who broke through to score a victory in the division’s last race at Magic Valley Speedway. Don’t miss a minute of the action as these three fierce competitors go wheel-to-wheel under the Saturday night lights.
Brendon Fries and Travis Pavlacky lead the Pit Stop USA NASCAR Modified charge into Saturday night’s Builder’s First Source Modified Double Down presented by ICON Credit Union. Boise, Idaho’s Fries has sprinted up the standings in recent weeks, and now sits 26 markers ahead of Pavlacky.
Perhaps the most thrilling tour group to visit the Concrete Jungle, the Salt Lake City Midgets crowd the quarter-mile for a mid-season slugfest. Washington’s Nik Larson and Utah racer Natalie Waters split the division’s last two features, but a hungry pack of open-wheelers are set to speed their way to the top of the Pepsi-Cola scoreboard by race’s end Saturday.
With his sweep of the division’s last two main events, Dylan Wardle has placed himself atop the Junior Stinger heap. But fellow main event winners Michael Bess and John Clever, plus the rest of a fast field look to put themselves on top Saturday.
As the Firehouse Pub and Grill Bomber season nears its second half long-time speedway competitor Rob Taylor finds himself in the points lead.
Saturday night also sees the Dairy Queen Bike Races for Kids return. Kids, bring your bike and a helmet to the turn four gate before opening ceremonies to take your turn on the quarter-mile.
