Variety Marks Aaron’s Sales and Lease Night at Meridian Speedwayadmin
Every race fan is lucky this Saturday, June 11, as Aaron Sales and Lease Night rolls into Meridian Speedway. The Pepsi Crate Cars, Steve Ward Peterson Super Sixes, Domino’s Legends, Project Filter Pro-4s, College of Western Idaho Super Street Stocks, and Teleperformance Claimer Stocks are on tap for a night jam-packed with a wide variety short track action.
Open-wheel racing fans get a double dose of thrills as both the Pepsi Crate Cars and Steve Ward Peterson Super Sixes fly around the asphalt quarter-mile. Young guns dominated the Pepsi Crate Cars’ first race night, but a strong group of veteran contenders will push the up and comers to their limits. The Steve Ward Peterson Super Sixes take the track for the first time Saturday after their first event was canceled due to weather.
Purpose built racecar fans will enjoy the wide-open racing of the Domino’s Legends and Project Filter Pro-4s. The Domino’s Legends always bring a full field of competitors to the track, and with Saturday night’s event the last shake down opportunity before the INEX Regional Qualifier in July, look for the competition to ratchet up. If it’s competition you’re looking for, look no further than the Project Filter Pro-4s. Brendon Fries leads a speedy field of veteran racers looking for a way to top his futuristic looking machine.
If you’re a fan of built up production cars, the College of Western Idaho Super Street Stocks and Teleperformance Claimer Stocks take the quarter-mile. Veteran campaigner Gale Carter claimed victory over early season dominator Melissa Weaver-Arte the last time the CWI Super Street Stocks took the checkered flag. Something of an upset also took place in the Teleperformance Claimer Stock ranks as Casey Hart ended Brian Hyde’s win streak at two over Memorial Day weekend. The intensity looks to rise along with the temperatures in these hard-fought divisions.
General admission for Aaron’s Sales and Lease night is just $10.50 for adults, $6.50 for kids 7-11, and $8 for seniors and military members. Gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying around 5 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m. Skip the line at the gate and purchase advance tickets online at meridianspeedway.com, and make sure to text ‘meridianspeed’ to 84483 to stay up to speed with your local NASCAR Home Track.
