Winged Sprintcars Roar to Life Saturday at Meridian Speedway

The fastest competitors on asphalt go head-to-head for the Winged Sprintcar Opener this Saturday, April 21 at Meridian Speedway.  The Mountain Dew Interstate Winged Sprintcars, Pepsi Crate Cars and Idaho Sprintcar and Roadster League Super Sixes, Coors Super Stocks, Teleperformance Claimer Stocks, Junior Stingers, and Bombers join forces for an action packed night of racing.

The Mountain Dew Interstate Winged Sprintcars storm Meridian Speedway this Saturday for their first battle of 2018.  With an average lap time of just twelve seconds, you won’t want to miss a moment of the wheel-to-wheel thrills.

After an intense title fight that came down to the last laps of 2017, the Pepsi Crate Cars and ISRL Super Sixes gear up for their first grudge match of the new season.   Will it be six cylinders or eight parked in the Caleb’s Chop Shop Winner’s Circle Saturday?

The Coors Super Stocks open their 2018 campaign with a good, old-fashioned sprint under the lights.  Melissa Weaver has her sights set on a third-straight division title, but looks to have her hands full with a fresh crop of competitors racing her to the checkers.

After a hard-fought season opening race, the Teleperformance Claimer Stocks rumble back onto the quarter-mile oval Saturday.  Less than one second separated Pat Tully and Todd Seaver in last week’s photo finish.  Who will speed across the line first Saturday?

Meridian Speedway’s youngest racers return to action Saturday as the Junior Stingers make their season debut.  Don’t miss your chance to catch the quarter-mile oval’s future stars as they go door-to-door for the checkers.

Bomber racing returns to Meridian Speedway this Saturday night as this strictly stock division hosts its first clash of the season.

General admission to Saturday’s Winged Sprintcar Opener is just $11.50 for adults, $9.00 for seniors and military members, and $6.50 for kids 7-11.  Gates open at 4:45 p.m. with racing at 6:45 p.m.  Be sure to text ‘meridianspeed’ to 84483 for exclusive updates from around the quarter-mile and log on to meridianspeedway.com for the latest news and notes.  We’ll see you this Saturday, April 21, under the big yellow water tower at your NASCAR Home Track, Meridian Speedway.
