Gates open @ 4 pm Qualifying @ 5 pm Racing @ 6 pm NEWSFLASH! Street Stocks, if you drive 100% of your scheduled races in 2008 and the class averages 14 cars, you will be eligible for a drawing at the end of the year to drive a Late Model in 2009. Thunder Stocks, if you can do the same with a 10 car average, you will be eligible to drive a Street Stock in 2009!
Late Model drivers are eligible for a drawing to recieve a re-skin body kit from Fivestar Racing Bodies if you run 75% of the 2008 race season! Super Stocks and Late Model Lites will also have a chance to recieve a $250.00 gift certificate from Fivestar.
If you have Hoosier 970 "take off" tires that are still in good condition, the Thunder Stocks will take them! You can drop them off at the speedway or call TC Ellis @ 713-6719.

Watch this page for Race Directors changes and clarifications. We highly advise every driver to read the 2008 rule book carefully. Some changes have been added or deleted from your 2007 class rules. Also, you and your crew members should read and understand the General Rules for the Speedway.
All cars & driver's safety equipment must pass the "safety tech" before the car can be allowed onto the track. (Safety tech inspections will be preformed on practice dates or before racing events).
Crate engines are not to be altered from the original General Motors OEM specifications. Engines that found to be tampered with will be considered illegal and owner/driver will be penalized and fined. See General Rules for more information.
Neck braces or restraints are now mandatory in "ALL" classes of cars racing at the speedway. All safety equipment must be used at all times the car is on the track, including practices. |
