Meridian Speedway
Double Feature on Tap Saturday
It’s a double feature Saturday night at Meridian Speedway September 27, as the Project Filter Twin 35’s presented by Toyota Dealers take over the quarter mile asphalt oval. The NASCAR Modifieds, and Boise Bath and Kitchen Company Mini Stocks battle for the night’s Trammel Construction trophies, while the Pepsi Sprintcars, Snake River Legends, Speedway Bandoleros, and Idaho Vintage Racers conclude their championship campaigns.
Pepsi Sprintcar point leader Riley Rogers enters Saturday night’s action with a 48 point advantage over AJ Luttmer. Fellow young gun Jordan Harris holds down third in the standings ahead of Kate Jackson and Jamo Stephenson.
The Snake River Legends settle their season Saturday night. Tyler Monroe enters the night’s action with a 49 point lead over standings runner up Johnethan Davis. But the closest battle within the top five belongs to third place as just nineteen points separate Canyon Ashley from fourth place Tim Neumeyer.
Jhett Phipps leads the Speedway Bandolero division into Saturday’s Project Filter Twin 35’s presented by Toyota Dealers. Phipps leads Tayton Monroe by a comfortable 48 markers, while Mason Martin and Jhett’s brother Kyro Phipps find themselves separated by just eleven points for third.
Joey Layman takes an Idaho Vintage Racer victory lap Saturday night as he holds an insurmountable 111 point lead over Lee Rice. But the battle for second between Rice and Johnny Wiggington couldn’t be closer as just three points separate the second the third place point runners.
General admission to the Project Filter Twin 35’s presented by Toyota Dealers is just $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and military members, $9 for kids 7-11, and free for kids 6 and under. Gates open at 4:45 p.m. Saturday with the first green flag to wave at 6:30 p.m. Log on to www.meridianspeedway.com to purchase your advance tickets now.
