Spectacular Saturday Sees Champs Crowned, Boats Busted
Championship season shifts into high gear at Meridian Speedway this Saturday, October 4, as three divisions settle their season during the ATS Inland Boat Race of Destruction Finale presented by Ryan Shelby at Guild Mortgage. The NASCAR Modifieds, Zamp NASCAR Latemodels, and Firehouse Pub and Grill Thunderdogs crown champions this Saturday night, while the Idaho CDL Training Street Stocks, Boise Bath and Kitchen Company Mini Stocks, and the Idaho Asphalt Services Hornets do battle for the night’s Trammel Construction trophies. Then, we tear it up with the season’s final Boat Race of Destruction.
Brendon Fries and the number 34 tear roll into Saturday’s NASCAR Modified feature for some high-speed victory laps. Fries leads second place point runner James Strikwerda by an insurmountable 290 points. The battle for the third, fourth, and fifth places sees Tommy Harrod, Alex Duda, and Titus Clancy separated by just six markers. Keep your eyes on these three hard-charging racers as they go wheel-to-wheel for the final podium position.
The Zamp NASCAR Latemodels follow Andrew Palmer to green as he puts an exclamation point his championship winning season. Palmer has won nine of the eleven0 features run thus far in the 2025 campaign, and only Saturday’s action stands between him and a tenth victory on the year.
Bobby Hill has blasted onto the Firehouse Pub and Grill Thunderdog scene and headed into the division’s final feature Bobby Hill holds an 86 point lead over Mad Maxx. But boat race bonus points could shake up the standings as a whole, so Hill’s advantage won’t be safe until the checkered flag waves on the night’s final event.
The Idaho CDL Training Street Stock standings have tightened up thanks to leader Andrew Palmer’s foray into winged sprint car racing. With Palmer’s attention devoted to his Pink Lady Classic debut Scott Groom was able to cut what was a comfortable lead down to just thirteen markers. Watch for Palmer to wrest the momentum back this Saturday night.
Morgan Trammel has the opportunity to lock up the Boise Bath and Kitchen Company Mini Stock title on ATS Inland Boat Race of Destruction Finale night. Trammel holds a 147 point lead over Chase Parker, but the battle to watch is between third place Jason Sanders and Travis Pavlacky. Sanders stands 22 points clear of Pavlacky entering Saturday night as these two division veterans battle it out for a podium spot.
The Idaho Asphalt Services Hornets follow Ron Clausen to green Saturday. Behind Clausen, Alannah Trammel, Kyla Vanderpool, and Tommy Harrod look to score valuable late-season points as they position themselves for the end of the season.
